demEAUmed Final Conference was held in Barcelona on May 18th 2017. Results, benefits and opportunities of demEAUmed technologies in managing, treating and recycling water were presented by demEAUmed partners and discussed with different experts from the tourism and environmental sectors.

Representatives  of the participating companies, hotels and educational institutes included: Suez Environnement, CTM, the University of Girona, IVL, Robinson, the Gremi d’Hotels de Barcelona, Melia Hotels International, the African Water Facility, and CEDEX.

One of the aims of the conference is to involve different stakeholders to demonstrate and promote innovative technologies to reduce the impact of tourism sector on the environment.

demEAUmed has been achieving considerable results since the beginning of the project on January 1^st, 2014. 

In this edition of our newsletter, you can find information about our final conference to be held on May 18^th 2017 in Barcelona with the attendance of various keynote speakers  from organisations such as Suez Environnement, CTM, the University of Girona, IVL, Robinson, the Gremi d’Hotels de Barcelona, Melia Hotels International, the African Water Facility, CEDEX, the Joint Research Centre, and the demEAUmed partners. 

Furthermore, results of the greywater technologies of demEAUmed at the demonstration site (Hotel Samba) and results of the environmental and socio-economic assessment of demEAUmed technologies are presented together with news on the publication of ‘water and tourism’ and other demEAUmed activities!
