Science Week in Madrid is one of Europe's most important scientific events. Its main objective is to make science and technology more accessible to the general public.

It actually takes place over two weeks, and will include over 500 activities in different cities, town and villages in the Region of Madrid: open days, film series, workshops, exhibitions, conferences, guided tours, excursions, etc. This programme aims to facilitate awareness among the general public of a wide variety of today's scientific issues, such as energy policy and the latest advances in astronomy, communications and robotics, for example. Around 200 organisations will take part in this informative festival, ranging from foundations and universities to museums, NGOs and research centres.

In the framework of the Spanish Week of Science 2017, the Department of Scientific and Academic Cooperation of the French Embassy in Madrid has invited representatives from demEAUmed consortium to present the project on November 28th 2017 at theInstitut français de Madrid.  The project will be presented by SEMIDE and ICRA which is an excellent example of the collaboration between France and Spain (among other countries). Water management in coastal tourist areas is an issue facing considerable qualitative and quantitative challenges which is undoubtedly important to promote by demonstrating successful examples like demEAUmed.
